Cocoon are a design/development company with an off shore manufacturing facility in China.

Established in 1999 the company has grown a reputation for supplying small runs of top quality knitwear in cashmere, cashmere blends and many other fibres from cotton to silk to machine washable merino wool.

Through Cocoon’s investment in Shanghai, we have our own manufacturing and sourcing company. We have production capability on 16gg and 30gg fully fashion machines and sampling facilities across most gauges. We have built relationships with other local factories (the Italian way) to enable us to provide a full range of knitwear products from handknits, crochet, chunky knits, intarsia and electronic jacquard knits on Shima and Stoll machines, all of which are monitored and controlled by our Shanghai company.

Our own cashmere qualities are produced in Inner Mongolia, Northern China from where the best ‘sweater’ quality cashmere is grown. The factory which our managing director has worked with for 16 years is renowned for its technical expertise in cashmere and knitwear manufacture.

We design, develop and supply a number of high quality brands and stores with women’s, men’s and accessory knits. These include Paul Smith, Pringle, Joseph, Maharishi and stores such as Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Harrods and Liberty. Our products include sweaters, cardigans, gilets, dresses, skirts, trousers, coats, hats, scarves, socks, slippers and bedroom items. Fabrics include pure cashmere, cashmere blends, merino, lambs wool, cotton, angora blends, mohair blends and many more.

We have an experienced design and technical team in Yorkshire with a ready supply of knitwear and design graduates from The University of Huddersfield complimenting an excellent team in China.

We have good shipment and transport links from China into the UK for speedy deliveries. Quota restrictions are not an issue for our high quality, higher value products. We are also able to ship to most parts of the world directly from China.
